Ocellated Turkey Hunts

Yukkutz Hunting offers an all-inclusive hunt for the elusive Ocellated Turkey, located 1.5 hours from Campeche City in southeastern Mexico.
We are the exclusive operator of the famous Mennonite UMA Las Flores.

Hunting Season

For the 2026 – 2028 seasons, there will be approximately 11 hunting weeks, beginning the second week ofJanuary and ending the first week of April.

Travel Information

Hunters should schedule flights to Mérida International Airport (MID).
You will be greeted by Yukkutz Hunting staff upon arrival, overnight in Mérida, and drive to camp the following morning (approximately 3 hours).

Hunt Schedule

Hunters arrive at the lodge Monday at noon, settle in, enjoy lunch, and begin hunting Monday afternoon.

Hunts take place Monday through Friday morning, followed by lunch and return trip to Mérida.

A Typical Hunting Day

  • 4:30 AM – Wake-up call and light breakfast (coffee, juice, fruit, cereal, toast)
  • 5:00 AM –Depart to hunting areas in 4×4 vehicles and hunt until noon
  • 10:30 AM – Return to camp for breakfast and then lunch
  • 2:30 PM – Afternoon hunt until dark
  • 8:00 PM – Supper at camp

We provide 1 guide per hunter (1×1) and one 4×4 vehicle per two hunters and their guides.

General Information

Early season temperatures are very comfortable:

  • 55–60°F (night)
  • 70–75°F (day)

Later in the season, midday temperatures may rise to 90–100°F.

Cancellation Policy

All deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another hunter.

Business Terms

Booking: A 50% deposit is required to secure your hunt, 25% should be paid 3 months prior your hunt dates.

The balance 25% must be paid upon arrival in cash.

A Hunting Agreement will be delivered upon booking.

  • Export agent fee – $650 USD (if CITES permits are delayed)
